Episode 2 of The Last Defense focuses on the death row case of Julius Jones, a 21-year-old African American college student in Oklahoma sentenced to death for carjacking and murder.
Following the screening, there will be a discussion about the creation of the series and the journey of investigating the Julius Jones death row case. The panelists will feature Co-creators and EPs Vanessa Potkin and Aida Leisenring, Director Amani Martin, Executive Producer Andrew Wang, Federal Public Defender Amanda Bass, and Jones’s friend and ally Jimmy Lawson.

Breaking Down Barriers is a timely documentary about athlete C.R. Roberts, a Civil Rights pioneer born in Mississippi in 1936 and raised in Oceanside, California, eventually attending the University of Southern California in the 1950s.
This documentary explores the beginning early stages of the Civil Rights movement through the viewpoint of a little-known legacy, which continues to bring people of all colors and races together.
