On Saturday, August 19th, the Black Media Council (BMC) and CCBFF will showcase approximately 10 short films/videos (10 mins. or under) by or about Black youth throughout the state of Texas. The theme for this year is “Black Youth Culture in the Post-Obama Era.” The focus of the films/videos can be wide-ranging, but must highlight issues directly pertaining to Black youth culture or their experiences in today’s society. Student filmmakers will submit either previously developed or original materials. Following the screening of their films/videos will be a Q&A panel in order to provide more insights into their filmmaking process, aesthetics and experiences.
