Cap City BFF is a premiere platform designed to help you amplify your cinematic art and message to the world.

If you believe like we believe – #BlackFilmMatters – then we invite you to submit your film and make plans to join us in Texas in August of 2019 for 4 exciting and interactive days of film, networking and social activations with industry insiders and power brokers in the city designated as ’one of the best places to live and work as a moviemaker” by Movie Maker Magazine. Submit now and save on fees!

The deadlines are the dates by which we must receive your film. They are NOT postmark deadlines. We must receive your digital upload, Vimeo link, or physical disc by the deadline date for which your film has been registered. All submissions are handled identically, regardless of which deadline you choose. Late deadline submissions are processed and screened in exactly the same manner as early and official deadline submissions are. The only difference is the submission fee.

Films must be directed by a person of African descent or who otherwise identifies as Black, feature persons of African descent or who otherwise identify as Black, and/or tell a story of the Black experience.
