FIGHTLADY takes a look at the world of amateur women boxers who fight not just for themselves but also to gain recognition for their sport.

FIGHTLADY features a world class boxer, Franchon Crews, from Baltimore, MD.  Crews is a USA National and Pan American Games Champion.  Franchon, "The Heavy Hitting Diva", works two jobs and volunteers for the MD chapter of the National Kidney Foundation.  She struggles to find the time and energy to train.

Franchon's way is paved by another larger-than-life woman, Wanda "Fightlady" Bruce, a boxing promoter who produces all female boxing tournaments across the country.  Bruce creates one of the few chances for women to test their boxing mettle.

2012 marks the first Olympics ever that includes women boxing in the line up.  Franchon vies for a spot on Team USA.
